Current Volunteer Needs
  • Boys and Girls Club
    - After School Tutor
    Details: Tuesdays - 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Duties: Assist children ages with homework
    Interested?: Contact Scott Van Fossen
    - One-on-one "mentor"
  Details: Monday- Friday - 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Most children arrive from school around this time)
  Duties: You can stop by anytime to spend one-on-one time with one of the children in our Boys   and Girls Club. Can do various activities; play basketball, play video games, study/homework, time   on computer.  
 
  - Basketball League
  Details: November through March - Evenings
    Duties: Need coaches, Referees, Score keepers, 
  • Early Learning Center
    - Hallway monitor
    Details: Monday- Friday - 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Duties: Monitor hallway as parents come to pick up children. Open door for parents coming to pick up children. Should be able to walk and move around. 

    - Infant Room Needs (6 wks. to 2 yrs.)
    Details: Monday - Friday, All day. Any time 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 
    Duties: Help with various activities. Read stories or picture books to children. Hold the babies or sit on the floor with them. Should be able to bend and squat. Experience with children preferred, but not required.

    - 2 Year Old Room (2-3 yrs. old) and 4 Year Old Room (3-4 yrs. old) 
    Details: Monday - Friday. 7:00 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Duties: Read books to children. Spend one-on-one time with children that need special attention. Assist room leaders with various activities.
  • Youth Arts Evening Programs
    - Teacher/Assistant
    Details: Tuesday Evenings 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. 
    Band - 6:00 - 7:15 & Dance/Singing 7:15 - 8:00
    Duties: Assist youth in Band and/or Dance & Singing classes. Looking for someone with Brass Instrument or Piano experience (Not always required). 

    - General Volunteer
    Details: Monday through Friday, 2-5 Hours/week
    Duties: Assist in instrument upkeep and music filing.

    - Drivers
    Details: Tuesday Evenings, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. & 8:00 - 9:00 p.m.
    Duties: Drive Salvation Army van to pick up and drop off children for Tuesday evening programs. Experience with children required.
