Becoming a Member
Come Join Our Army!

Many people ask about joining our work. Becoming a Salvationist is an incredible start to a wonderful journey with Jesus. Those who claim Jesus as their Savior and make The Salvation Army their church home can become members (soldiers).

Adults (age 14 and up) as well as children (those 7–13 are called Junior Soldiers) can join The Salvation Army. You would need to take soldiership/membership classes to study Salvation Army doctrine, standards, and practices. Once you've completed these classes, you will be enrolled as a soldier/member in The Salvation Army.

The first step to becoming a member would be to attend a worship service and meet the corps officer/pastor who will welcome you into a fellowship of believers and get you started.
